Miscarriage

Sadly, I witnessed a friend's miscarriage. She was 6 weeks into her pregnancy when it happened. She suffered severe pain which is termed "true contractions" every 5-20minutes apart. Sadly, she's not the only woman I know who's suffered a miscarriage. I know at least two other women. Though my friend is 38, the other two women were in their twenties. The witness of such a terrible situation made me read up on miscarriages and the statistics are quite large. Women under the age of 35 have a 15% chance of a miscarriage in the first trimester while the percentage goes up to 25% for women over 35. Wanting to have two kids at a high-risk age...I'm sort of preparing for the possibility that I may suffer a miscarriage one day. It's a scary thought...but I guess to be informed may help to prevent it.
